🎉 Exciting News!🌟

Over the weekend of February 24th and 25th, 2024, the Youth Phoenix Project hosted its International Challenges Events! 🚀

These two days were packed with innovation and collaboration as we worked to elevate youth-driven initiatives from national to European level.

📅 Day 1: We kicked things off by showcasing the national initiatives developed during our Blended National Trainings. The energy and dedication of our young leaders were truly inspiring as they presented their projects. After careful evaluation, we selected the top 5 initiatives.

📅 Day 2: we dove headfirst into turning 2 national initiatives into European projects. Through practical tasks, collaborative brainstorming, and hands-on experiences, we redefined and elevated our projects to meet European standards. The creativity and enthusiasm in the room were palpable as we worked towards our shared goal.

After these events, we are happy to say that we will apply 2 projects for the next deadline: one Youth Exchange and one Small Scale Sport in Youth.

🌍Consortium: Asociația Se Poate from Romania, Association Sideralis from France, Rasio Perspektiva from Latvia, Regional Development Foundation from Bulgaria, and Unioni Comuni del Villanova from Italy. Their dedication and expertise were instrumental in making this event a success.

🤝 This project is co-funded by the #ErasmusPlus Programme of the European Union.

The Youth Phoenix Project's International Challenges Events have shown us the power of youth empowerment, innovation, and international cooperation. We can't wait to see where these remarkable initiatives take us next!

There have been a lot of initiatives by youngsters done across the Europe, most probably we have all noticed is the "Fridays for Future" movement led by Greta Thunberg, that successfully influenced s in various countries. Their climate strikes and activism played a role in pushing for more ambitious climate policies in several European countries. Another remarkable example is the "Ban Glyphosate" campaign, which gathered over 1 million signatures across Europe, leading to increased scrutiny and debate over the use of the herbicide.
However, there have been a lot of youth initiatives that we can place as the good example.

Non-formal education is important because it offers learning and development opportunities outside the formal context of school or traditional education.

It provides learning opportunities for everyone, promotes continuous learning, creativity, civic participation, and adapts to the needs and interests of individuals.

📌The Youthpass certificate is a tool used to document and recognize the results of non-formal learning in projects funded by Erasmus+|Youth and European Solidarity Corps. It was introduced in 2007 with the aim of providing visibility, recognition, and transparency to activities carried out in the "Youth in Action" program. It is part of the European Commission's strategy to promote the recognition of non-formal learning.

📇It is released to individual participants and allows them to describe the activities carried out within projects promoted by European Programs, as well as the skills acquired and applicable in their life journey. The Youthpass strengthens the social recognition of socio-educational animation, supports active citizenship, and promotes the employability of young people and socio-educational animators.

Hello Everyone,

We are glad to present the main ideas behind the YOUTH PHOENIX project!

EU Youth Goals #3, #4 and #10 of the EU Youth Strategy 2019-2027, are the backbone of the YOUTH PHOENIX project. They reflect the EC’s political guidelines for the next 5 years, inter alia the ‘European Green Deal’, ‘A Europe fit for the digital age’ and ‘New push for European democracy’. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, immediate response is required to mitigate the enormous socio-economic impact the outbreak had, including capacity building and specific measures for recovery in the youth sector. As per EC President von der Leyen, the EU would do whatever was necessary to support the Europeans and European economy when taking measures to counter the COVID-19 economic impact.

The YOUTH PHOENIX will explore for 24 months the specific role of EU youths aged 18-29 years, under the challenging post-pandemic environment, as individuals and in communities, in leadership development processes and wider civic life participation in a perfectly geographically spread project partnership – Romania, Bulgaria, Italy, Latvia and France. A balanced consortium of public bodies and NGOs has
been established.

YOUTH PHOENIX encompasses various activities, based on the described priorities and well connected under the ‘Engage-Connect-Empower’ core areas of the EU Youth Strategy 2019- 2027. The core work packages follow this logic. Under the project a youth network will be built. It will consider ways of forging solidarity and inclusiveness, which concur with challenges related to digital skills and green lifestyles.

Following results to be achieved under the project:

- 25 young ambassadors selected & trained,
- 10 national and 4 international activities (a training, a debate, and 2 international challenges’ events);
- more than 300 participants excpected in all project lifecycle’s events;
- 1 e-platform;
- 1 Large scale mobility event with appr. 100 participants
- 1 Throwback Thursday virtual event to disseminate project results and legacy of the large-scale mobility event & foster synergies
